I used to play console, until I got myself a pc a while back. I find it harder to control sometimes on console, especially aiming. Plus given that I played chivalry on Xbox before and now I play mordhau and kingdom come on pc, I can safely say that swordplay is easier on pc. Good work doing the achievement if anything.
Best doesn't really matter at the moment, since each tree has enough points to get all but 1 (usually) of the perks. Best does matter in the sense of what you should pick first and whether you should save perk points or not. Some other skills like Drinking are pretty obscure and most players probably won't notice the good perks they contain.
Yes, there are many Strength perks to choose from, so many perks points to earn. I don't remember how many for each skill though. What IS important to check is if there are more perks, or perk points. If it's the former, you'll have to make choices and forgo some perks. If it's the latter, it's only a matter of what order you want to get them. When it comes to back-headstabbing and dealing with heavy armor plated opponents, nothing can be more incisive than maces and warhammers, brute strength at their finest. Reach level 8 or higher, the 'scholar' perk unlocks now. Take the 'scholar' perk. Now your reading is level 3. You can read now. Read one or two skill books. Now your reading is level 4. Drink Lethean water. Your 'scholar' perk (and the stat penalty) is gone, but your reading level is still 1. Reassign your perks.
