Now ofc, yes, the Vita was graphically superior to even the New 3DS, and the PSP was graphically superior to even the DSi. But I'm comparing handhelds from different generations to contemporary consoles. It's the best way to do it. The Vita has 12% the power of the 360, while the Switch has about 18% the power of the One when in handheld mode.

Considering the fact that console-power over generations tend to be more of an exponential graph rather then anything linear (i'd probably want a logarithmic scale on any graph), i'd say the Vita is closer to the PS3 then the PS2, even if it cant match it. Its less powerfull than last generation smartphones.
