Developers try their best to get PS Vita titles to look as good or on par with PS3 titles in terms of graphical performance.. but no, PS3 is vastly more powerful.. which shouldn't come as a surprise at all. Shouldn't even be comparing a handheld to a console, not a fair comparison at all. Ignoring the unique functionality of the Nintendo 3DS handhelds (such as the stereoscopic 3D displays), the PlayStation Vita is significantly more powerful than the rest (it's effectively a PlayStation "3.5" in your hands) with far more potential; but the Nintendo 3DS handhelds put everything else to shame with the size of their (games) library Jul 8, 2016. #14. Sony pretty much has dropped the ball hard on using the PlayStation's extended library. PS1, PS2, PSP, PSVita, all these emulators should be on the PS4 with as many games as they can put on the store. PS2 titles on PS4 ended up being incredibly dumb in the end.
Plus the image pops more on the Dreamcast, either due to the resolution difference, or the shaders, or both. The 3DS on the other hand was somewhere between a Dreamcast and a PS2. The GPU seems to actually be better than the one in the PS2 with more modern bells and whistles, but its CPU is less powerful.
The winner was…. The NES. Going up against the Sega Master System and Atari 7800, Nintendo’s 8-bit machine clearly dominated the industry’s inaugural reboot generation following the great
The House of the Dead 4 - The only other version of this game that exists is the arcade version. The Last Guy. Tokyo Jungle - Digital Exclusive in Europe. Part of expensive compilation otherwise. Trash Panic. PSP/Vita - These 35 PSP games will disappear when Sony closes its store.
Now ofc, yes, the Vita was graphically superior to even the New 3DS, and the PSP was graphically superior to even the DSi. But I'm comparing handhelds from different generations to contemporary consoles. It's the best way to do it. The Vita has 12% the power of the 360, while the Switch has about 18% the power of the One when in handheld mode.
Actually when you add them together, PS Vita has more RAM than PS3 [the PS3 has 256MB of XDR DRAM main memory and 256MB of GDDR3 video memory]." The speculation Considering the fact that console-power over generations tend to be more of an exponential graph rather then anything linear (i'd probably want a logarithmic scale on any graph), i'd say the Vita is closer to the PS3 then the PS2, even if it cant match it. Its less powerfull than last generation smartphones. RDR4Sb.
